“This one step - choosing a goal and sticking to it - changes everything." -Scott Reed
In Achieving Success - Part 1, we discussed the fact that how you choose to spend your time makes a real difference in achieving success. In Achieving Success - Part 2 we picked a goal and began imagining and envisioning it.
Now, either use the goal from before or choose another one, and write the first 5 – 10 steps it might take to begin this goal.
Pick one of those steps. You can pick the first step, the step you feel more drawn to, or the one that feels the scariest.
Now imagine doing that step as you consider the following:
• Notice what you sense in your body as you imagine doing this step.
• Notice what you feel emotionally as you imagine doing this step.
• Notice where your thoughts go as you imagine doing this step.
• Notice your spiritual connection as you imagine doing this step.
With all of this in mind, what stood out for you? What caused you the most discomfort as you imagine doing this step? What was most enjoyable about it?
What might keep you from taking this next step? What are the limiting feelings and beliefs that you would have to examine and perhaps shift in order to move forward and take this step?
Deep breath. Spend the next few days writing about and being with those limiting feelings and beliefs that come up around this step.
You can repeat this process with all of the steps that it takes to achieve your goal.
Please share your thoughts. Your comments make a difference for us all.
