Join me on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 as I have the pleasure of talking with Rabbi Rami Shapiro an award winning author, poet, essayist and educator.
During the call we will be discussing Rabbi Rami Shapiro's new book, The Love of Eternal Widsom: A Revisioning of Saint Louis DeMontfort's Contemplation on Divine Wisdom. This book is an expression of gratitude to the sisters at Wisdom House in Litchfield CT, and is a contemporary version of one of their most beloved books, "Love of Eternal Wisdom", an 18th classic of Catholic spirituality.
Wisdom is the source of all consolation. To know Her is to know intimate sweetness. To draw near to Her is to draw near to the Nameless From whom She arises and before whom she plays ( Proverbs 8:22).
And yet we do not draw near for our sake. But for Hers, And thus the more we long for Wisdom, The more we listen to Her, The more we are compelled to teach Her ways, And to celebrate the teachings of others, especially Jesus Christ, Who is the human incarnation of Wisdom.
