The week of February 3rd was the beginning of Sharon Salzberg's 28 day meditation program using her New York Times best selling book Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation, A 28 Day Program.

Started out with a slight headache, went back to my breath and let the headache be, just as it was. I could feel some sinus drainage and went back to my breath. I started to cough and had a sip of water, then back to my breath.
I was thinking about how much going back to what you have planned when life does something else is like most of life. I’m currently working on my book, trying to meet the publisher’s deadline which at this point will have to be moved. I’m writing and the phone rings with a client needing to move their appointment. I go back to writing. I need to write a blog for a wonderful 28 day meditation program (Hmm, which wonderful 28 day meditation program could that be?) I write the blog and get back to the book. It’s time to have soup for lunch, and then back to the book.
