Here in New York, we’ve been catapulted into summer. Today it’s up to 97 degrees in the city–phew! The roses have never been so beautiful. I hope you’ve been enjoying this season wherever you are now.
Life certainly has its contrasts. An important part of our journey is to be with whatever arises in life, including the opposites. As we grow and learn it becomes easier to live fully with all our joys and sorrows. This is a most profound time in my life right now. I’ve got a lot of great projects in the works. My book proposal is being shopped around to big publishers, I’m talking with a production company about a show on the OWN network, and I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing amazing people I’ve always wanted to connect with on my radio show.
At the same time, I am deeply saddened because my father is very ill. I’m sure many of you know how it is to be losing a parent. So here it is, life in its glory and its pain, exciting and ordinary.
Please let me know how you are navigating the very exciting, the everyday and the sorrows and challenges by making a comment below.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for your blog article. One year ago my mother died, and i am in a divorce right now and business is not running that well because of the crisis and probably also because of myself... it seems that the pain and sorrow take a lot of time.
But at the same time I feel growing, I got more aware of my emotions. It looks like it is a time to get more in balance with heart and intellect. That feels good.
Thanks for ur blog,
Guido |

Sometimes things happen to us in life to make us appreciate. Last night I was driving home from golfing and it was dark and 2 men on a motorcycle that were driving in the other lane hit a deer. Luckily they were not badly injured and managed to not hit them or the deer by swerving to the side of the road. I was very thankful and appreciative that everyone except for the poor deer were not injured badly. |

Hi Jennifer, After many years of spiritual practices all of life is now sacred as it always has been. Lama Surya Das has taught that seeing things as they are not as they ain''t. This moment, the 4th dimension is all there is, awareness of this is the key to living with joy, sorrows, and the ordinary.
May all be happy ~bill |
