Expressions of power or wisdom from a higher being; emanations express the profound influence of, or the complete projection from, a higher being. In Buddhism, the Dalai Lama is said to be an ‘emanation’ of the Bodhisattva. In the Kabbalah, emanations are associated with the sephirot, which form the bridge between God and creation; the way in which God interacts with the universe.
